AV Engineer

Seeking an experienced AV Engineer who loves a challenge and is motivated to use their expertise to help drive the company forward. This person will work as a member of the engineering team to provide bill of materials, submittals, and design oversite for our many exciting projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with programming/commissioning of AV systems to include AMX, Biamp, Control 4, QSC, Extron, and/or Crestron. Previous low voltage experience with structured cabling, CCTV, or access control is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Create product submittals based on job provided specifications and contracted drawings.
Create and modify bill of materials based on job specifications including obtaining vendor quotes.
Support sales and estimating staff to ensure a fully functional and cost-effective solution is provided to the client.
Create and maintain AV functional line diagrams and rack elevations.
Perform QA/QC of shop drawings for AV functionality
Create programming narrative as part of the submittal package to include GUI interfaces for client approval.
Attend site visits for use analysis and commission assistance as needed.
Programming/commissioning of AV systems to include AMX, Biamp, Control 4, QSC, Extron, and/or Crestron.
Provide mark ups or design oversight to the CAD/Design team for shop drawings, sketches, or details.
Work with clients and customers on design build or design assist projects.
Perform site walks with project manager/foreman to review quality of work and trouble shoot systems as needed.
Qualifications:
5+ years of Audio Visual Engineering experience.
Industry certification (BICSI, RCDD, CTS, or other)
Manufacture certification is a plus
Experience using Bluebeam software
Prior experience working in government, municipality, transportation, commercial, sports and entertainment realms is preferred
Ability to pass background checks for access to sensitive projects (government, military, aviation, etc.
