DAS Technician

The DAS Technician is a hands-on role that will support the Construction Manager in collaboration with other field technicians to install DAS and other wireless equipment on various customer job sites. Work will be conducted primarily in New Haven, Connecticut, however some travel may be required.
Responsibilities:
Installing DAS/Small Cell wireless equipment using any combination of external and internal antennas, coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, CAT 5 cable and other appropriate components to NEC standard at customer job sites.
Implementing commercial and ERRCS iBwave designs.
Testing cellular and ERRCS systems using PCtel and spectrum analyzer.
Mounting rack, wall and ceiling electronic DAS components.
Splicing/testing fusion fiber.
Making connectors for 50 ohm ½” coaxial cable and testing.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience with DAS/Small Cell installations.
Ability to understand, communicate, and implement commercial and ERRCS iBwave designs.
Knowledge of best practices for ½” coaxial cable installation.
Demonstrated strong communication skills.
Finger/wrist dexterity & hand/eye coordination required for job activities.
Experience working with man lifts, scissor lifts & on roof tops utilizing proper fall protection.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Must be able to stand, walk, reach and with hands and arms, for up to eight hours daily.
Must be able to climb up and down ladders (6-8 feet) routinely.
Ability to travel (up to 50%).
Valid state driver's license as required by job conditions or by the company
Ability to pass background checks for access to sensitive projects (government, military, aviation, etc.)
