Lead Low Voltage Technician

We are looking for an experienced Low Voltage Technician to work with the installation team to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects, under the general direction of the Project Manager. While primarily a hands on role, this individual will work closely with the PM and provide project oversite as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and feel comfortable speaking to customers in addition to being able to perform installation activities as needed to support the team and projects. Low voltage experience, preferably related to DAS/small cell, emergency responder (ERRCS), and AV projects is required. Work will be conducted primarily in New Haven, Connecticut, however some travel may be required.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and support field team with installation, implementation, and testing activities
Attend project specific site coordination meetings
Ensure compliance of safety, daily reporting, and site-specific project documentation
Responsible for ongoing QA/QC activities to ensure adherence to project and company standards
Serve as one of the primary points of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing any concerns or issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or proven supervisory experience in the building construction or electrical industry.
2+ years of low voltage installation experience.
Experience with DAS is preferred.
Understanding and ability to implement commercial and ERRCS iBwave designs is preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as building codes and regulations.
Ability to understand and implement details of contracts and technical drawings.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Time-management skills to meet deadlines and ensuring construction phases are completed on time.
May require lifting of 50 lbs., climbing multiple flights of stairs, and considerable walking.
